On March 27, 2024, Elsevier released the 2023 list of "Highly Cited Chinese Researchers". According to statistics, in the field of biology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has a total of 14 scholars on the honor list, of which 8 are from  the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology. They are He Lin , Li Zhiyong , Shi Yongyong , Wei Dongqing，Xu Ping , Zhang Daping, Zhao Liping , Zhong Jianjiang (in alphabetical order).

All the above scholars have been selected to the list for many times, which is of great significance to improving the overall academic level and international reputation of the college.
